Insulation type, Custom finishes, Windows, and clearance issues are the most common additions to a basic garage door. One addition I believe more people would be interested in if given the option would be higher cycle springs. Many people use the garage door several times a day, basically as the entrance to the home. Most manufactures supply as standard 10,000 cycle springs. We can upgrade the spring cycle to 25,000 or 50,000 at the time of install for a fraction of what a customer would spend to have their springs changed 3-5 times. This is a great addition for folks that believe they’ll stay in their home for some time. Insulation is a good way to keep your garage a more comfortable temperature. Residual heat from the home can be slowed down from escape with an insulated door. Some homes were built with very low ceiling in the garage requiring additional framing, possible door size changes, and the use of specialized track to give the door the clearance it needs to operate correctly for years to come.
